2026 Guatemala Short-Term Mission Teams<\/h3>\t\t\t
\n

The 2026 Guatemala Short-Term Mission teams will be serving from August 17\u201327<\/strong> and August 22\u2013September 1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Please pray for:<\/strong>
\n–\u00a0 For each team member to find a unique way to exercise their spiritual gifts
\n–\u00a0 For logistics and planning: smooth coordination of travel, accommodations, and organization of day camps.
\n–\u00a0 For the team to bond around the mission and to build each other up spiritually<\/p>\n

English and Children’s Worship Service Time Change<\/h3>\t\t\t

Starting September 6, 2026<\/strong>, English and Children’s Worship Service will be moved to 9:30-10:45 am<\/strong> to allow the following Cantonese Service to start on time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Save the date! We will be having our NTCBC annual picnic on Sunday, Aug 23<\/strong>,\u00a011:30 AM to 1:00 PM<\/strong> at Edithvale Park<\/strong>. Food will be provided. Bring your friends!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Melville Mission Workshop: The Strain of Parenting in a Digital Age \u2013 Sat Aug 29, 10 AM<\/h3>\t\t\t

NTCBC Melville Mission will be hosting a workshop on “The Strain of Parenting in a Digital Age” on\u00a0Saturday, August 29th,<\/strong> starting at 10 AM<\/strong>. There will be a Q&A panel with Michael Park, a registered social worker and and behavioural therapist. Join us for BBQ lunch starting at 12 PM!<\/p>\n

Basketball Ministry Social \u2013 Mon Aug 31, 7:30 PM<\/h3>\t\t\t

Basketball Ministry will be hosting an open social event to connect with the congregation on Monday, Aug 31<\/strong>, 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM<\/strong> in the Lower Basement Gym<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Unlock\/Lock Front Door – in effect starting Tues Sept 1<\/h3>\t\t\t

For all regular weekly planned programs, entrance doors to church automatically unlocks 15 minutes before<\/strong> and automatically locks 30 minutes after<\/strong> the program start. e.g. for 7PM program start, doors will auto open at 6:45PM and auto lock at 7:30PM.<\/p>\n

The “Open\/Close” door button inside the lobby can no longer be used. Thank you for your understanding.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Membership Meeting – Sun Sept 6, 1:30 PM<\/h3>\t\t\t

We would like to invite all members of North Toronto Chinese Baptist Church to join the Members\u2019 Meeting at 1:30 PM on Sunday, September 6, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The meeting will be held in the church gym in the lower basement<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Members who choose to attend the meeting online should join using the link found in your email.<\/p>\n

You will be asked to confirm your membership status before the meeting. Access to the admission link:\u00a0https:\/\/forms.gle\/1t6L5UCbpz2zmxTz6<\/a><\/strong>
\nThe confirmation link will open at 1:00 pm to give you additional time to complete the confirmation process.<\/p>\n

Fire Drill – Sun Sept 20, 11 AM and 12:30 PM<\/h3>\t\t\t

Fire drills will be conducted at 11 AM<\/strong> and 12:45 PM<\/strong> on September 20th<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Please follow instructions to leave the church building and proceed to the designated assembly point along the fire drill route. After the drills, brothers and sisters may return to the church building in an orderly manner.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Church Office Hours<\/h3>\t\t\t

Our church office hours are 9:30am to 5:30pm on weekdays, and 9:30am to 1:00pm on Saturdays.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Sunday Parking Arrangements<\/h3>\t\t\t

The parking spaces at our church\u00a0are <\/span>reserved <\/span>for families with <\/span>children under 8<\/span> years old or <\/span>seniors over 60<\/span> years old.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alternative parking options: TTC Finch Station parking lot (free on Sundays), the 7th Day Adventist church on Hendon, or other nearby parking spots.<\/span><\/p>\n

Please do <\/span>not<\/span> park along the roadside on Hendon Avenue to avoid illegal parking and potential fines.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Online Giving\/Tithing<\/h3>\t\t\t

Offering is a privilege and responsibility for members. Our encouragement is for each member to prayerfully seek God\u2019s guidance for how they ought to be giving in this season. All offering goes towards funding ministries locally and globally.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We encourage the congregation to offer online through e-transfer or online banking. If you choose to give offering via cheque, we ask that you write the church’s full name “North Toronto Chinese Baptist Church”. The banks no longer accept the short form NTCBC as a valid payee.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our English sports ministries have a new page with information regarding our basketball, volleyball, and softball programs.<\/p>\n
