Since the cost of discipleship is high, Jesus remarks that \u2018the labourers are few\u2019 and therefore, we must be vigilant in praying for God to raise up more workers.<\/p>\n<p>These passages are interspersed between stories that tell how Jesus healed the sick, cast out demons, calmed the storms, and raised the dead. This was done intentionally in order to remind us that Jesus\u2019 commands are rooted in His great love for us.
