Bible Text: 1 Corinthians 11:17-34 | Preacher: Kwan Chan | Series: NT Reads the NT | God has given us the Lord’s Supper so that we can remember Christ, identify as Christ-followers, and to proclaim His death and resurrection. The purposes of the Lord’s Supper reflects the purpose of the Christian, where we are to repent daily, follow Him daily, and partner with Him to proclaim His name to the nations.<\/p>\n
The Apostle Paul reminded the Christians in Corinth of the purpose of the Lord’s Supper, and by extension, their purpose as a Christian because they had followed their preferences rather than living out their purpose. They had ceased to follow God’s Word and had followed their desires. Paul’s call to them was to repent of their preference-driven lifestyle and to renew their commitment to God by living out His good purposes for them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
