While\u00a0God wanted His people to repent from the sinful\u00a0ways that they were living in, they were unwilling to\u00a0surrender their lives to Him and offered religious\u00a0rituals as a substitute. What\u2019s worse, in\u00a0their\u00a0spiritual ignorance, they expected God to listen to\u00a0their half-hearted and surface-level fasting.
