Bible Text: Colossians 3:1-17 | Preacher: Curtis Lai | The Apostle Paul encourages us to live in a manner that aligns with our identity in Christ – to put off the old self and to put on the new self. Throughout this week’s passage, he adds to this exhortation by providing several ways in which we can practically live this out. However, what’s important to note is that Paul not only calls us to demonstrate external holiness, but to fuel our behaviour with the proper internal motivation. A motivation that is rooted in Christ’s death and resurrection leading to our new life in Him. A motivation that replaces self-driven effort with Gospel-empowerment.
