Dec 1, 2024
Below are our weekly announcements. Our hope is that announcements are not just for your information, but also for your participation.
Christmas Service – December 21, 9:45AM
We will be celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ on Saturday, December 21, 9:45 AM. During our
Christmas service, we will be singing Christmas Carols and hearing stories of God’s redeeming work. Our Children’s Ministry will also be hosting a special program for the kids while the adults hear God-Stories and receive a short message.
After our service, we will be hosting a Meet & Greet with refreshments from 11:15 AM – 12:30 PM. It will be an excellent opportunity to invite your friends and family to not only hear about God’s goodness, but to connect them with others in this faith community.
God-Story Workshop – December 1, 11:15 AM
1 Timothy 1:16 – But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life
The Bible teaches that God saved us, not just because He loves us, but because His desires to display His grace through us, that more people may be saved. This means that every Christian not only has a story about how God saved them, but their story matters. God’s promise is that He will use our stories to lead others to Him.
During the month of December, our Evangelism team will be leading us through a series of workshops that will help us to write and refine our God-stories. They will also lead us through exercises that teach us to steer our conversations in a more spiritual direction. Join us so that you will be equipped to share how God has worked in your life at our Christmas Lunch on the 21st.
Online Giving/Tithing
Offering is a privilege and responsibility for members. Our encouragement is for each member to prayerfully seek God’s guidance for how they ought to be giving in this season. All offering goes towards funding ministries locally and globally.
We encourage the congregation to apply for a personal offering number to allow efficient and accurate recording of offering information. We encourage the congregation to offer online through e-transfer or online banking. If you choose to give offering via cheque, we ask that you write the church’s full name “North Toronto Chinese Baptist Church”. The banks no longer accept the short form NTCBC as a valid payee.
For more details on online giving, including how to add NTCBC as an ‘online bill payee’, click here.
