January 28, 2024
Below are our weekly announcements. Our hope is that announcements are not just for your information, but also for your participation.
English Ministry Town Hall – Feb 4, 11:15AM
Our theme for 2024 is Strive for a 3rd Generation. We made a decision to continue our theme from 2024 because we realize that while we have made great strides in building a culture of disciple-making, there is still much to work on.
Please join our Town Hall to hear how God has been working at NTCBC and how you can partner with us to make disciples who make disciples.
Month of Prayer & Fasting
January is our month of prayer and fasting. During this month, we spend extra time on Sunday to pray as a congregation to discern God’s will and for empowerment to do God’s will.
We also encourage members to set aside a day to fast and pray with their families and small groups. As a reminder, fasting is an outward act that reveals an inward attitude. As a congregation, we are fasting to express our desire for God to make us a church filled with disciples who make disciples.
Post-Service Prayer Meeting – Jan 21, 11:15AM
Charles Spurgeon once called the prayer room ‘The Engine Room of the Church’. “If the engine room is out of action,” Spurgeon explained, “then the whole mill will grind to a halt. We cannot expect blessing if we do not ask.”
As a church, we desire to see God work in our midst to save souls, build His Church, and heal the broken. Therefore, we ask that you join us in our Engine Room to pray for one another and for God to do a great work in our midst.

Online Giving/Tithing
Offering is a privilege and responsibility for members. Our encouragement is for each member to prayerfully seek God’s guidance for how they ought to be giving in this season. All offering goes towards funding ministries locally and globally.
We encourage the congregation to apply for a personal offering number to allow efficient and accurate recording of offering information. We encourage the congregation to offer online through e-transfer or online banking. If you choose to give offering via cheque, we ask that you write the church’s full name “North Toronto Chinese Baptist Church”. The banks no longer accept the short form NTCBC as a valid payee.
For more details on online giving, including how to add NTCBC as an ‘online bill payee’, click here.
