Offering Through Online Bill Payment
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ONLINE BILL PAYMENT
NTCBC has enrolled with Bank of Montreal, CIBC, Royal Bank Canada, Scotiabank, and National Bank as a Bill Payment Creditor. You can now make offering through Online Banking or Mobile Banking services similar to making payments for your utility bills.
Step 1 – Add North Toronto Chinese Baptist Church as “Payee”
To set up your online payments, you will need to add “North Toronto Chinese Baptist Church” as a new “payee” according to the specific payee identifier below for each bank.
BMO – “NORTH TORONTO CHINESE BAPTIST CHURCH”
CIBC – “NORTH TORONTO CHINESE BAPTIST”
Royal Bank – “NORTH TORONTO CHINESE BAPTIST CHUR”
Scotiabank – “NORTH TORONTO CHINESE BAPTIST CHURCH”
National Bank – “NORTH TORONTO CHINESE BAPTIST CHURCH”
Please note RBC supports regular Bill payees and eBills which is the enhanced bill payment with Canada post integration. The main account menu will by default link to eBills. Please change it to “Bill Payees” option for your offering to NTCBC.
Step 2 – Provide the account number for your payment
The account number for your offering/payment is a 7 alphanumeric number consists of your 6 alphanumeric offering number and an alphabet at the end to identify the purpose of your contribution.
Example
Offering Number – E12345
Valid Purpose Code:
B – Building Expansion Fund
C – Church Facility Committee
F – Furniture & Equipment
G – General Fund
H – Chinese Class (Offering only. No Registration Fee)
M – Mission Fund
R – Repair and Maintenance
The Online Bill Payment Account Number will be “E12345G” for offering designated to General Fund.
For contribution to each fund type, a different Account Number is required under the same payee “North Toronto Chinese Baptist Church”. For example:
E12345M – For Mission Fund
E12345B – For Building Fund
E12345R – For Repair and Maintenance
IMPORTANT: BILL PAYMENT CAN ONLY BE ACCEPTED WITH AN OFFERING NUMBER IN THE 6 ALPHANUMERIC FORMAT. PLEASE FILL IN THE CONTACT FORM WITH THE LINK BELOW OR CONTACT [email protected] TO REQUEST A VALID OFFERING NUMBER IF REQUIRED.
Step 3 – Payment Date
Before fully adapting to this new option, we will only accept offerings by Bill Payments on the 1st to 7th day of each month (e.g. Aug 1 to Aug 7). Please select a payment date within this date range for your offering payment.
AS THE CHRUCH WILL NOT RECEIVE ANY NOTIFICATION OF YOUR ONLINE BILL PAYMENT AND PAYMENTS ARE PROCESSED AUTOMATICALLY, IT IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO CHECK AND CONFIRM THE ONLINE PAYMENT IS SET UP PROPERLY WITH THE CORRECT “PAYEE”.
Although the offering amount will be debited from your bank account immediately upon confirmation, it can take up to 4 business days for the offering to be credited to the church’s account. Your offering will only be considered received by the church upon receipt of the credit.
Upon receipt of your first offerings made via “Bill Payment”; we shall send you a password to access the monthly offering summary for you to check against your own record. No individual confirmation will be provided.
Offerings in all formats (i.e. cash, e-transfer, cheque, online bill payments) will be combined and reported under the same NTCBC assigned offering number for tax reporting.
Offering Online
Online offerings can be made by Interac e-Transfer through your bank account. The process is simple and standard. Please click the link below to register with us and we will email you additional instructions.

Offering Cheques By Mail
We are now accepting offerings cheques by mail.
You can make your cheque payable to “NTCBC” and mail to:

Please include your name and offering number in the memo line of the cheque. Unless indicated otherwise in the memo line, all offerings will be designated to the General Fund. As postal service takes longer than usual during the pandemic, please wait for at least 3 weeks after mailing before you contact the office if you have any questions or concerns.
Please note Online Bill Payment is our preferred donation method.
