In the last of His 7 “I Am’s” Jesus calls Himself the true vine while declaring that we are the branches. In doing so, He establishes Himself as the one who saves and sanctifies us. And He calls us, His disciples, to abide in Him in order that we would be able to bear fruit for the glory of the Father. In doing so faithfully, Jesus’ promise to us is that we will experience an unmatched fullness of joy in our lives.
