Have you ever tried to picture what the perfect church would look like? Whatever picture you have in your head, the chances are, we currently fall short of that ideal. And I hate to break it to you, but there is a high probability that our church will never be picture perfect. However, this does not mean that all hope is lost. While we will never be a perfect church, we can still grow to become a healthy church.

In today’s sermon, we are reminded that a healthy church is a growing church. And healthy church members are growing church members. And through our passage, the Apostle Peter reminds us of three Biblical realities that encourage us towards spiritual growth. First, growth is God's promise to us. Second, growth is our wholehearted pursuit. And third, growth is a proof of our genuine faith. And ultimately, that growth confirms life.
