Jesus Our Propitiation

Passage: Romans 3:23-26

Bible Text: Romans 3:23-26 | Preacher: Kwan Chan | Series: NT Reads the NT | God sent Jesus Christ to be our propitiation, meaning that He came to satisfy the wrath of God towards sinners. Jesus satisfied God’s righteous anger by taking on the full weight of our sin when He died alone on the cross. Since Jesus paid the penalty for our sin, we can be justified through faith in Him.

The Gospel reminds us that we are accepted by God on Christ’s merit, not our own, and therefore we are accepted by God, as we are. It also reminds us that we are to live for Him, since Jesus saved us so that we can be like Him and live for the glory of our Heavenly Father.
