God calls Christians to be a giving people; we are not called to be a people who simply give back. To give back implies that we give merely out of duty or guilt, which is contrary to what the Bible teaches. Rather, we give because we have been transformed by God’s love and His Spirit. As a result, we willingly choose to love God, who desires that we show our love by giving, both to Him and to His people. Furthermore, we give because we understand that God gives through us in order to lead more people back to Him.

Since our giving is motivated by our love for God and for others, we strive to excel as givers, that God may receive more glory and that more may hear the Good News of Jesus Christ and be saved.
