In Luke 12, Jesus gives us the command to ‘stay dressed for action’ – an exhortation to be ready for His second coming. While we are taught throughout the New Testament that no one knows when He will return, we are called to be ready by living our lives faithfully for Him in the meantime before He does. In our passage this week, Jesus provides us with several principles for how we ought to live in light of His imminent return to judge the Earth – illustrating for us through several parables what it looks like to currently live as faithful servants in anticipation of our master’s coming return.
