God’s Pursuit and Promise
Jeremiah 29 is a letter from Jeremiah to the Jews who had been exiled to Babylon. The main message of the letter was a call to submit to God’s divine judgment. This meant that they were to live a holy life in Babylon while they waited for God to deliver them. The message for Christians today is that we serve a God who faithfully pursues us with a consistent call for us to submit ourselves to Him. When we do, we will be restored to God relationally and missionally.
