Hallowed Be Your Name

Preacher:
Passage: Matthew 6:9

As God’s children, we have the pleasure of knowing God’s love and the responsibility of honouring and glorifying Him as our Heavenly King. Therefore, our first prayer request is, “Hallowed be Your Name – may our Heavenly Father be acknowledged as unique and distinct in His greatness.”

In today’s study, we will see that the prayer, “hallowed be your name” reveals/exposes our life purpose, reflects/expresses our heart’s desire, releases God’s power, and restores our person. The last truth is especially precious for those who find that they have fallen short of God’s calling and standard. Jesus not only desires to help us diagnose our spiritual condition, He wants to offer the prescription for our redemption, which is found not only in His death on the cross, but also in His words on prayer.
