In Revelation 4:1-11, John shares a vision of God being worshiped in heaven while seated on His throne. The vision was meant to highlight God’s sovereignty over all creation. What is significant is that John shared this vision immediately after writing about the crisis that the church was facing, as members were fading due to persecution and temptation. God’s message is clear: He is in control even in the midst of crisis.

Christians are called to remember that God is sovereign in all situations. Since He is all powerful and all loving, we can lay aside our worries and worship Him in the midst of our pain points.
