Bible Text: Isaiah 49:1-7 | Preacher: Kwan Chan | Series: Thy Kingdom Come | God created Israel to be in relationship with them and to mobilize them to be His servants who would reflect His splendor to the world. When they failed to live up to their life purpose, God did not leave or forsake them. Rather, He raised up His servant, Jesus, to reconcile them to Him and to restore to them their life purpose.

God’s treatment of Israel is a reminder that Jesus has saved us to be in relationship with Him and to be on mission alongside Him. As Christians, we were made for the work of mission; our life purpose is to bring the Gospel to the ends of the earth so that all may declare that Jesus is Lord, be in relationship with God, and do mission alongside Him.
