God has saved us so that we will live for His glorious purposes. Therefore, whether we eat or drink or whatever we do, we are called to do it for the glory of God. In our passage, we see that the Corinthians were glorifying God by using head coverings in an appropriate manner, and were dishonour God in the manner in which they partook the Lord’s Supper.

If we were to reflect on our lives, we would see that we too have areas where we are obeying well, as well as areas where we struggle to obey. Our passage reminds us to recall the reasons for our obedience, as well as to look for godly men and women who are worthy of imitation whom we can follow so that together, we can grow in godliness.
