One Loving Body

Preacher:
Passage: 1 Corinthians 13:1-13

The night before He was crucified, Jesus told His disciples that they were to love one another so that they could reflect God’s love to one another and to the world. Unfortunately, the church in Corinth has neglected Jesus’ words, and as a result, the church was in state of deep brokenness.

The Apostle Paul wrote to the church to remind them of Jesus’ commands. He not only reminded them of the importance of love, but also taught on the superiority of love, all in an attempt to convince them to love one another.

As we receive God’s Word, it is important to remember that in order for us to love, we must first be filled with God’s love, meaning that we must allow God to fill us with His love by His Spirit as we reflect upon the Good News.
