Weekly Announcements

Below are our weekly announcements. Our hope is that announcements are not just for your information, but also for your participation.

Town Hall – June 28 10:45 – 11:30am

On Sunday, June 28th, we will be having a 45-minute town hall for all of our members so that we can provide some updates on the following topics:
1. Summer Sabbath plans
2. Leadership decision making during covid
3. Future stages for bringing back church
4. Helping in different areas of church / evolving serving needs

We encourage you to plan to attend this meeting which will be via Zoom starting at 10:45am: Web-conference Link

As a note, this town hall will be in lieu of our regular Sunday post-sermon prayer/sharing session.

Church Reopening Plans

Ontario’s recent announcement loosened restrictions for places of worship to allow reopening at 30% of normal capacity.

NT Reopen Committee continues to work on the following areas of reopening:

  • Readiness of church facilities for a healthy and safe environment
  • Operational procedures for the lowest possible risk of community outbreak in compliance to all government guidelines
  • Readiness of all church ministries with the physical and spiritual health of all congregations as the foremost consideration
  • Communication plans

At this point, we will not be reopening the church in June.  Ongoing communication will be provided.

Summer Sabbath for Small Groups

We will be introducing a period of Sabbath rest for our Small Group Leaders (SGLs) during the Summer months of July and August.

The goal of this period isn’t simply to take time off, but to embrace the 4 following principles of a Sabbath:
  1. Establish Rhythm of Work and Rest (SGLs do not otherwise have scheduled periods of rest)
  2. Act of Trusting and Worshiping God
  3. Provide Opportunity to do good
  4. Experience God’s blessing of rest
Each SGL has been given guidance and discretion in how to plan out the Sabbath period specific to their small group, but we’ve recommended to take advantage of this time in the following ways:
  • Take this extra time to invest in their families, grow deeper in their accountability groups, and create opportunities for personal evangelism
  • Take this as an opportunity to facilitate fellowship gatherings (in lieu of SGLs)

Post-Sermon Sharing and Prayer

As a faith community, we have a responsibility to care for one another. While social distancing may hinder our ability to meet physically, God has equipped us with the technology to meet online so that we can continue to fellowship together.

Please join us after our live-stream at 10:45am for a time of congregation-wide prayer & sharing.
