Our passage tells of how Jesus healed the sick, cast out demons, calmed the storms, and raised the dead. Jesus was not only demonstrating His power, but was showing us His heart and desire to bring restoration and redemption. The promise of the Gospel is not only that there is forgiveness for sin, but that restoration, order, peace, and reconciliation can be experienced in this life.

As Christians, we are able to face any hardship knowing that we are safe in God’s sovereign and loving hands. We know that though we are in the midst of a storm or are experiencing difficult, our God is doing a good work in our lives, working for our sanctification and for His glorification.
